This book made me cry. I lost my son to a heroin overdose when he was only 25 yrs. old. It helped me to understand some of the things that may have compelled him to go down that road. Unfortunately he wasn't as strong as Nikki was. It is unbelievable what Nikki went through. There were some pages that described his feelings of loneliness and just wanting to be loved for himself that I wanted to give him a big hug. I am so glad Nikki is living a better life now. Don't ever think your alone Nikki.

It took my months to find this book, every book store in the area was sold out for the longest time, and I was so relieved when I finally found it.
This book made me really think about my family and some of there bad habits. I am intending on purchasing this book for my brothers and I hope that it helps them realise a few things.
I would recommend this book to anyone, although it is not for the weak of heart. It has some moment where you think to yourself "how could anyone survive that!"
