This is the best book I have ever read about the Holy Spirit and how He helps us in our daily life and in our spiritual growth. I wish someone would reprint this book cheaply so I could give it as presents to everyone I know.

"The Helper" is very helpful
Catherine Marshall's book is full of simple, yet well-founded examples of how God works in and through His Spirit in our lives. She uses the scriptures to confirm each aspect of her teaching. It's a fast, enlightening read.

Understanding The Holy Spirit
This book is a how to book, somewhat like The 40 Days of Purpose by Rick Warren. The how to of this book is; how to understand and know the third person of the trinity. Catherine Marshal was married to Peter Marshall, a well known pastor, theologian of the 1940's and 1950's (know for his Scottish wit and wisdom). Years of helping her husband with sermons obviously helped her because her writing is clear and enjoyable. She was an accomplished author who speaks from a deep understanding of the Holy Spirit and how to receive and know Him.
