Book was a nice addition, especially if you already had "Beauty in the B", but it did not have a complete listing of the various Hammond models from the very early years. Several instruments were not included or mentioned. However, the inclusion of so much other information was very helpful and especially on the artists who used Hammond organs in their performances or recordings. I'm not sure if it was mentioned that even today, 77 years after the Hammond's entry into the musical world, the sound is still quite unique and important. Even if you aren't actually hearing a real Hammond, the simulations of that sound are still very evident in many different musical groups. You will often see just a single keyboard with probably thousands of different samples available, and the sound you will hear is Hammond in character, and quite often with the Leslie effect. What bugs me is some musicians who continually flip the Leslie slow/fast switch about ever other measure! Kind of like a few of the old, original Hammond players that pumped the swell pedal in time with the music! EEE GAD.
