A fictionalized page-turner of real-life disaster!
Author Thomas P. Hopp has once again delivered an engrossing page-turner of a novel about another ââ?¬Å"what ifââ?¬Â? major catastrophe that is likely to happen during our lifetimes in the Pacific Northwest- that of a 7.0+ magnitude earthquake. Hopp deftly handles and balances overlapping characters and scenarios mixed in with a strong expertise of local geology and based also on the research of emergency disaster management response agencies and their methods in the greater Seattle area. Further, the likely step-by-step behaviors and actions taken by the characters during a disaster of this sort has been well thought out in advance by the author, and has been intertwined with his obviously intimate, and accurate, knowledge of Seattleââ?¬â?¢s geography, in order to create a realistic account of a ticking time bomb of a situation that will occur eventually in reality as well, itââ?¬â?¢s just a matter of when.
