Glycerine is a substance composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, its chemical formula being 03h5(oh)3; it occurs in most fixed oils and fats of animal and vegetable origin, and is obtained in large quantities from palm oil and tallow in the process of manufacturing the fatty acids employed by candle makers.
