this book is a delightful version of the original Cinderella fairy tale. The dialogue is excellent and the interactions between the characters, especially the stepsisters, are hilariously funny! But the balance between the serious and the funny is very nicely handled throughout the story up to the happy ending with Ella and the Prince getting together at last for all time. A treat for all ages!

Cover picture offputting for boys
I haven't read the book to my son yet as the cover picture is so sickly sweet that it has put both of us off.
