And yet again, does it seem to some that their sphere is so little, so narrow, so lowly, that there is no room for any service for God? Again, the saints of Caesar's household salute you. Come, then, stirred by the example of this company in Cassar's household, let us to-day surrender ourselves to Jesus Christ, pledging ourselves afresh to Him, to be His faithful witnesses, His brave disciples, followers of those who through faith and patience have inherited the promises. Go through the Book and take out of it all the tender and exquisite references to the children, how much would be lost! We might have expected that the Word of God would have no place for the children--that its pages would be filled with the sublime revelations of the Most High and the records of His bravest soldiers and servants, or that it would be a volume of precepts and commandments. How significant it is that the gracious Father, who found a place for the little ones in His Kingdom, finds so much room for them in His Word. It has been said by some that the sublimest sentence ever penned is that in the story of the Creation, "And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."
