Though this book is supposed to be coauthored by both Crossan and Borg, I think it has more of Crossan's thought than Borg's. The premise is that only 7 of the Pauline letters in the NT were actually written by Paul, and that is used to support the authors' arguments that many of the statements about women, slavery and other controversial topics are not authentic Pauline statements and thus have less weight. If you can't accept that premise, the book is still worth the read for both the theological points and the historical information included.
