Following up on his book In the President's Secret Service, Kessler presents bigger and more consequential stories about our nation's leaders and the agency sworn to protect them, widening his scope to include presidential candidates and former presidents after they leave the White House. In particular, he focuses on First Ladies, their children, and their relationships with the presidents. From observing reckless behavior that threatens the country's safety, to escorting presidential mistresses, to watching their own agency take risks that could result in an assassination, Secret Service agents know a secret world that Ronald Kessler examines in detail.

I EXPECTED A SERIOUS BOOK AND WHAT I GOT WAS TRASH. SOME
PEOPLE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY...SUCH AS THIS MAN WHO WRITES A BOOK INTENDED TO BE A SCANDAL SHEET. HE TAKES OUR PRESIDENTS AND DISTORTS, EXAGGERATES AND IN SOME CASES FABRICATES TALES WHICH TO ME ARE SICKENING. I DO NOT THINK M UCH OF AN AUTHOR WHO DECEIVES THE PUBLIC TO MAKE MONEY. THIS WORK DISGUSTS ME..NOT THE PEOPLE IN THE BOOK...BUT THE AUTHOR. IT IS FURTHER DISGUSTING THAT PEOPLE BUY THIS TRASH. IT GOES RIGHT INTO THE FIREPLACE IN MY HOUSE. ..IF HE INDEED GOT SOME OF THIS INFORMATION FROM SECRET SERVICE AGENTS THEN THEY ARE EVEN MORE OF A DISGRACE AS THEY ARE SWORN TO SECRECY...WHAT HALLUCINATIONS THEY HAVE! IT JUST SHOWS THAT ANYONE CAN MAKE MONEY BY EXPLOITATION. FOR ME I FEEL IT IS ACT OF TREASON IN THAT IT SPREADS FABRICATIONS THAT SOME PEOPLE IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD THINK ARE TRUTH...SHAME ON YOU. KESSLER...WHERE IS YOUR PATRIOTISM?

Audio Book Review
This book is interesting due to the stories told but the narrator (remember my review is of the audio book CD version) is so monotone with no emotion at all. If he is describing Mrs. Clinton being rude, the affair of John F. Kennedy, or what someone had for lunch that day it's all the same tone. If you are going to read an e-book you should have some emotion and a voice that keeps the reader interested.
