Tough, ambitious and hardworking, Natalie Reyes finds herself suspended - unjustly - from Harvard Medical School, and it feels like her world has ended. Against all the odds she survives, but her dreams are shattered. On the other side of the world, medical genius Joe Anson is working on a serum which could save millions of lives - if only he can fend off a fatal illness long enough to complete his research. But Anson is running out of time, and those watching from the shadows will stop at nothing to ensure he fails. Meanwhile, in Chicago, disillusioned private detective Ben Callahan is struggling to identify a dead man; struggling to find an explanation for the mysterious marks on his body. Pulse Racer
This book is one of the best I have read in years. The medical terminology makes it so real to life that you can't put it down. I read 250pgs in one day. You can tell Michael Palmer is dedicated to both lines of his work. He doesn't forget any detail. He keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more and more. And his ability to go between characters is amazing. No wonder he is a top writer!

Another Palmer page-turner!
I could not put this book down! As usual, Michael Palmer's research on the book's venues such as Africa, Brazil and India made the book much more exciting. His medical facts are always factual and/or believable. The book was extremely interesting and yet disturbing. I could believe that these illegal transplants could actually be a reality now or in the near future. This book would make a great movie. I await Dr. Palmer's next novel with great expectation.
