At one point during a practice spanning over forty-five years, he came to the realization that caring only for a patient's body was just not enough. William A. Nahhas, BSc, MD, FACOG, FACS, is a board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist, a specialist in the treatment of cancer of the female reproductive organs. In spite of sponsoring an active patient support group and numerous social activities, it was apparent that cancer treatment, whether successful or not, left an emptiness in the soul that only the Spirit of God could fill. However, working in a secular institution made it nearly impossible to communicate God's love and direct involvement in every aspect of patient care.
