While this made it difficult to study the distribution of stress in the concrete and reinforcing steel, usefull information was obtained in regard to the behavior of this shell. The work on columne was done in the mechanical laboratory, the vertical reinforced column being made inside and the other or soirsl, outside. The cement, sand and stone tests were made in the cement laboratory and the different strength tests made in the laboratory of the main.
