VG- in N/A jacket. Book. 24mo-over 5"-5¾" tall. Ivory cloth and olive silk, decorated in red and gilt, top text block edge in gilt, deckled edges. 201 pp., illus. Moderate wear, cloth rather soiled, mildly rubbed edges. Front flyleaf mended along bottom front edge to repair an approx. 1/2" x 1 1/2" tear, with resulting minor loss. Former owner Mary Crawford Dudley's signature (dated 1894) on upper front flyleaf, and her illus. book plate mounted on front pastedown. Firm binding, clean interior, a bit toned by age, with gilt top edge somewhat dulled. A series of lectures by the pre-eminent stage actor of the late 19th century, equally well remembered presently as the employer of Bram Stoker, author of "Dracula." Quite scarce.
