The Criminal Code Of Canada has received our special attention, and the various subjects contained therein will be found duly arranged and indexed under their proper references throughout this work. The references enclosed within brackets signify that the subject matter indexed covers but a part Of the Act or subject so enclosed. An alphabetically arranged index to so large a number Of separate works, covering all the legislation Of the Dominion Parliament from'the beginning down to the present day; together with such of the Statutes, Treaties and Orders, &c., Of an Imperial nature as affect. Or are Of special interest to Canada, and such Provincial enactments as are still in force relating to matters within the jurisdiction Of the Dominion Parliament, must be Of advantage to every one concerned in the public affairs Of the country. Judging from the manner in which the former Edition was received, and the many desires expressed for a new one, we feel that our work has met with such general approval as to justify the preparation Of this second Edition, which we now confidently submit to the public.
