Literary production in the Amazon is still little known and disseminated, but it has been widely studied by academia. These writings analyze two literary works produced in (and about) the Amazon: "Bel???m do Gr???o-Par???", by Dalc???dio Jurandir, and "Seringal", by Miguel Ferrante, in order to reflect on the relationship between social history and literature, since these novels are set in the context of the exploitation of elastic gum in the Amazon, which took place at the beginning of the 20th century.
