The songs are dramatic and passionate and never less than interesting with all of the layered rhythm tracks, samples, strings, accordion, or whatever you want. "Shafshaf's Song" even features a Hebrew rap! There are genuine Middle Eastern instruments, too, alongside the synthesizers. "Taj Mahal" is a sensuous number featuring riffs and ornaments from the oud and the violin played Arabic style.
