Yosefa Dahari was born of Yemeni and Moroccan parents. As a young Israeli, and a citizen of the world, she tries in this album to bring together all of the influences that bear upon her country, including Western pop music. The result is a delicious and sexy combination of Arabic and Sephardic rhythms and accents with Western popular music á la Madonna and a bit of hip-hop and new age thrown in.
