An extroadinary thriller about the discovery of a new world miles beneath the surface of the earth and the nightmare consequences that ensue. In a remote Himalayan cave a group of New Age tourists led by a cynical American guide come across the mummified corpse of an RAF flyer. Before they can investigate the mystery all except the guide are ritually massacred. Hell exists. The world's armies respond to the threat and are slaughtered in the dark. From the panic comes a new resolve. I started reading this book and since I am the impatient sort , I sometimes skip and read the last page. I was engrossed in this book, It gave me what i personally like most in books, Interesting factual info and a feeling of creepiness. I couldnt wait to see how it wrapped up, and with great effort i didnt skip ahead.I really hate to say this because I really enjoyed the first parts, but the ending was sorta ...eh.... I wish I could say it more succinctly but thats what the ending left me with...eh... I think the author lost focus at the ending. Overall, I enjoyed the book, and the only reason i even thought the ending wasn't great is because the rest of the book was so interesting It may have set my expectations very high.
