First edition thus. Knyvett's treatise outlines the military training and preparations the MP sees as requisite to protect Britain from invaders should its sea fleet should be unable to stop attacks. Prior owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. From the library of E. C. Simpson. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, sound. With some light marks to the front board, and a little bumping to the extremities. The paper wrap has three chips to the spine, and is rather rubbed to the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and lightly foxed throughout. Good.
