Full leather binding with gilt decoration and titles, purple leather, bright gilt decoration to front board, spine sunned and therefore a little faded, gilt detail still attractive, some rubbing at extremities, top edge gold, pink mauve and gold marbled endpapers, no inscriptions, 713 pages, with black and white and coloured illustrations by A V Jacques and AV E Norelius, text in Swedish. A very good, clean sound and attractive binding. Heavy book.

Very Good. Number 140 of 2000 sets printed on special paper with illustrations by Clara Tice, the plates of the illustrations destroyed after printing, signed by the publisher. Very good but with water damage to the foredges of the covers and pages, more so in volume II, some scuffing on the edges of both volumes, hinges cracked, a bookplate on the pastedown of each volume.
