But the story really starts with Ricardo Pascale, a Spanish former globe-trotting scientist recalled from retirement to authenticate results of an ongoing medical research in the Ntcheu district in the central region of Malawi. A common adversary has them encountering each other and many facets of themselves over and over again. The question is not just how they will each respond to the threat, but how each of us, given similar circumstances, would too. This is a story about life and love.
