I have seen the skin one - fourth of an inch thick in old chronic prolonged and neglected cases of eczema, especially about the bends of the elbows, palms and backs of the hands, knees and joints in general. Glutenous discharge, causing excoriation on healthy skin. The most intense itching comes from this remedy. It resembles rhus tox. It is worse from heat or warmth of bed Eczema of the external genitals of females will quite often call for graphites. It does not often complete the cure, but may sometimes be called for in eczema. It is quite often called for in pruritis ani in women. 'the hair is dry, brittle, easily breaking. In children graphites 1s often required to cure the so called scald head of infants; seborrhoea of the scalp in children, eruptions in the flexor surfaces, corners of the mouth, and behind the ears (canth).
