The book arrived as described; packing is the best I have ever experienced , plastic wrap, bubble pieces , and boxed! In the book was a short handwritten note. I will make an effort to do more business with Pendemonium- this kind of care is unusual . Wish I lived near this shop!!

Brilliant story-telling
This novel will not dissappoint. It may open your eyes, cause you to gasp or even teach you a thing or two.Spiced with much Victorian "sauce" but not-at-all smutty or sleezy. It is intelligently written, for a reader who appreciates atmosphere and attention to detail. The characters are interesting, deceptive, strong, weak, troubled and ambitious and you will most definately want to hear more about them long after you've read the final page!!

This book left me wanting MORE!
This wonderful story is so fast paced and informative and interesting I really couldn't put it down. Not for the timid, though, it leaves absolutely nothing to the reader's imagination. It is non-stop action and truly an incredible look into Victorian London's morals and lack of same. I enjoyed every page and have ordered The Apple to see what happens to these vivid characters later on. What delicious fun this was to read.
