The author starts with basic concepts of tools and their uses. Later information will have keynotes that refer back to the basics. If you forget a term or what to do, the keynote will take you back quickly. All woodworkers have individual situations related to equipment and skillsets. The sheer number of alternate ways to make a joint are clearly illustrated and the photos are very clear giving you a way to make the joint with your equipment.. Follow the suggestions and turn out good joints. Useful for the beginner and a "must have" reference work for the more experienced craftsman. I have read the book straight through and keep within arm's reach. I find something useful each time I pick it up.
