Lindbeck's work has the virtue of being both accessible to most corners of the Church while remaining somehow theologically rigorous, at least in its nature as a framework, and not necessarily a systematic dogmatics. This collection helps to both introduce and further students of The Nature Of Doctrine, which is represented here by a few essays. The personal information in the front of the book, from Lindbeck himself, is fascinating and helpful to see the vision he infuses in every technical term and in every ecumenical attempt.
