Head down Route 66...
I've never been big on Christmas books, but when I saw the adorable kitty on the front of Melody Carlson's The Christmas Cat last year, I just knew I had to read it. This year I was excited to find The Christmas Joy Ride. Both the zany front cover and the back cover blurb looked so good! I was right. Melody Carlson has penned a story filled with both poignant moments and humor.
The Christmas Joy Ride is everything cozy and Christmasy and a truly delightful read. At only 168 pages it is the perfect length for a comfy-cozy afternoon. That's what I did, curled up in a chair with my fuzzy blanket and finished it in one afternoon.
One thing just have to say is that this is one gorgeous book! From the nice-sized print and the wreath decorating each chapter number to the dark blue cover and lovely dust jacket, this is one nice book.
Fans of Christmas stories and Melody Carlson are sure to love The Christmas Joy Ride!
