THE CHEAP DETECTIVE is a great comedy with an incredible cast of outstanding stars and character actors. The film is an exceptionally well made parody of The Maltese Falcon. All of the greatest movie clichés are cleverly worked into the dialog and it produces almost constant laughs, especially for film buffs, without being silly. Very enjo... yable. Highly recommended.
