Doing the right thing never comes easy...
Over the last few years I've gotten hooked on publisher Enclave's fantasy and sci-fi fiction. Now, I pretty much snag anything I get my hands on with their name on it. The Chaos Grid was partly chosen based on the publisher and partly because it sounded so interesting. And author Lyndsey Lewellen did not disappoint. In fact, The Chaos Grid was even better than I had anticipated...
Lyndsey Lewellen delivered a story that was both imaginative and intriguing. Her worldbuilding skills are excellent as I can tell you that her setting is Texas like you could have never thought of. The story is well crafted with layers of backstory within the present as well as a surprising Biblical parallel that I recognized right away but certainly never expected.
From creatures whose size and habitats are vastly different from what we know today to dome covered cities, The Chaos Grid is a wild futuristic ride through volatile weather, harsh landscapes, and dangerous people that is sure to entertain teens and adults alike. I know I was engrossed from start to finish.
I sincerely enjoyed my time discovering new-to-me author Lyndsey Lewellen and as this book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger you can bet I am on tenterhooks desperately hoping that means there will be a sequel coming eventually. At any rate, if you enjoy a good YA sci-fi novel I definitely suggest checking out Lyndsey Lewellen's edge-of-your-seat The Chaos Grid...
(I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)
