I enjoyed this. The author took her older book versions and brought them back after some problems with an old publisher. I found a few edited mistakes. Words in wrong places and the such. But the story is a fun introduction to the authors 20+ books in this series. I own all the books in this series and starting with this one first. Only thing I wish it had more of is that Midnight Louie needed more involvement as the story went on. I would have liked to see him more in the actual scenes then the two or three pages of him talking to us. It's more like he was setting up the next chapter or going over what we had just read instead of actually being involved.
