Good. Good condition. A copy that has been read but remains intact. May contain markings such as bookplates, stamps, limited notes and highlighting, or a few light stains.
Another tidy tale by Lloyd Alexander that is slightly a little more juvenile-leaning than his other "kid's books." Great humor and occasional cuteness and chock-full of pleasant adventure. A repeating criticism of Alexander's books from me: the ending is, again, a bit too clipped for my taste and it quite bothers me. It's sort of like he was writing along pleasantly and then realized his deadline was up in two hours and he had to drop it in the mailshoot so he just dashed off the ending very quickly. Or maybe, he doesn't want to leave his great little tales, either, and without sentiment, just shuts them down quickly and closes it out and STEPS- AWAY- FROM THE TYPEWRITER. ****
