Start out by getting to know Jim Knipfel. His memoirs (Slackjaw - my favorite, Quitting the Nairobi Trio, and Ruining it for Everybody) make his life of trials, tribulations and medical problems with his vision seem hysterically funny (a gift in itself!). Next read Buzzing - - if Mr. Knipfel has an alter ego, it is definately Roscoe Baragon. It was easy to visualize his face as this lovable, whacked-out lead character. I will continue to read anything and everything written by this amazing author. Where is his Pulitzer????
