The Drs. Namie (Gary and Ruth) are amazing. I will be purchasing the audiobook soon, but since 2017 or so, I was searching for ways to help co-workers and employees generally on how to STOP the BULLYING. It is important to recognize that you may be targeted just because you are a strong, competent individual. The term Workplace Bullying is the international term for the movement; "mobbing" is also used when there is a group involved. The United States is the only country in "Western Civilization" that does not have "law" about Workplace Bullying. Puerto Rico passed laws in 2020, but even Turkey has laws against Workplace Bullying. Victoria in Australia has created "Brodie's Law" Workplace Bullying is a criminal offense. The groundwork in this text is a springboard to an immense body of increasing information against what is an epidemic in the USA. I recommend buying in bulk as you can and having more copies available to "loan" to people that approach you when they don't know where to turn. Don't let the title mislead you, this is a gateway to the serious academic studies with emperical data. Work Should Not Hurt - too much destroys employee's family and lives and can lead to suicide. Written simply enough for an intimidated employee to respond to fairly easily. I recommend -recommend- recommend getting to know the Drs. through this volume - you will be glad you did and learned how devastating bullying in the workplace can be. Join the movement!
