Grant & Son Booksellers and Stationers' subscription library, Edinburgh, pasted onto top of front cover; contents unmarked but with pages slightly... Dark green cloth with very elaborate gilt decoration and lettering; plain green back cover. ix + 290 pp. with bw photographic frontis. An extremely hard title to find, in a period-style decorative binding. Major Hall's ceramics and bric-a-brac hunting experiences in various places in the world: Marseilles, Messina, St. Petersburg (not the one in Florida...), "Stamboul", Berlin, Dresden, Copenhagen, Vienna, Italy (yes, apparently the whole place! ), and Paris.
