Very good(+) 10 volumes bound in 2. The volumes included are 1 through 12, but lacking volumes 3 & 4. With 354 hand-colored plates. All title pages are present except for volume 11. Four plates are spotted or smudged and four plates are missing. Except for occasional foxing, the plates are in amazingly bright condition. Tall thick 8vos, the 2 volumes are handsomely bound in early 3/4 calf, ornately gilt spines with burgundy and green labels, marbled board (heavily scuffed). London: Curtis, 1787-1798. First edition. Internally very good(+). Plates lacking are #227, 257, 361, 362. Pencil scribbling on the inside cover of volume I.
