Surely such a sense is preferable to that which Doedcrlein and Rosenmulfer have drawn from the A rabic, a septtvtrionibus. v. 16. Songs Of triumph, whose burden was, " Glory to the righteous!" By the righteous is probably meant one person, the Messiah, (see Afls vii. 32: xxii. 14) whose kingdom the prophet beholds in ision, and joins in the chorus of joy at its approach; a joy, however, which is presently interrupted by a refle&ion on the wickedness of the greater part of his countrvmen at thai time, who should rejeft the Lord that bought thtm.
