Liz is part of the Squimish order. They are quiet peaceful order who dedicate themselves to God and farming and earn most their income from Liz's famous cheese balls. Problem is their kind are fastly disappearing. Orders all over are loosing their land, and when a displaced Squimish member moves to their town he thinks he can do everything better. Even improve upon Liz's cheese balls. Well that's the last straw for her. She's tired of not be listened to by the order's leader because she's a woman. So one night she takes off.
Along the way to her new life she makes new friends and finds a new job as a waitress where she's a hit with the recovering alcoholics. She has a chance for a big promotion but the only thing holding her back is a nasty sweating condition she has. Will she seek the medical help to cure this problem and in the process lose herself? And the Squimish are having their own problems, since Liz left their cheese ball sales are down. They don't quite have the same tangy taste as they once had. Did Liz take her secret receipe with her when she left town? Will the Squimish elders ever find her to reclaim the receipe?
And who can resist a story with a Mr. Peanut who has a cockney accent?
