He walks among the dead, and interacts with beings in a distant galaxy. Hounded by violence, Hugh and friends use deadly force to defend themselves and the monastery. Their lives are not all struggle. They enjoy good company and good food, as well as some success against evil. But small successes are not enough. Hugh mulls a visit to a distant galaxy to study how other beings deal with evil.
