Good. Size: 5x1x8; First US paperback printing. Unmarked interior. Pages yellowing. Moderate cover-wear, including creasing, indents, and light stains on rear. Bottom edge of front with white patches, possibly from a removed sticker. Cover and pages lightly bumped, probably from H20 damage. Matching 1969 dates on title and copyright pages, with no additional printings stated. This makes this book the first printing of the first edition according to Zempel and Verkler, First Editions: A Guide to Identification (Third edition), William Morrow and Co. Inc. 1947 statement: "First printings of Morrow books carry only the copyright notice, except in a few instances the line 'First printing (month-year)' below the copyright notice. All subsequent printings are marked 'Second printing, Third Printing, Fourth Printing, ' as the case may be, and any new editions of the book are clearly marked."
