The first time i read this book I was just a little kid. Then right after reading it i really didn't want to babysit for the lady next door. I really enjoy the way R.L. Stine put's so much detail into his charater's. they come to life for me and make me really belive im there. while reading this book everytime the girl answered the phone, i would think this is it somthings going to happen, but not always true, and of course when my phone rang i'd jump. the best part of the book was when Jennywas laying in her bed driffting of and the phone rang. if i remeber right it was a hot night but she all of a sudden got really cold. she did't want to answer the phone but she didn't want it to wakr up her mom. she was scared because of the phone calls she'd been getting. she said "hello' the the person on the other line said "jenny its me". she though it was chuck playing tricks with here but it ended up being the kid she was sapouse to babysit the next day. this book brought terror to me when i was a kid with my fisrt babysitting job. so of course when i hirer my babysitter i try to get all of them to read the book and of course my neice won't babysit for me if one of our neighbors aren't home. so this book was good then and still good now pluse ive read it at least ten times since the first time and there's always some detail that i miss.
