For the sake of "full disclosure," I must admit I have a certain bias in favor of this book.
I wrote the chapter on "The Technology of Ender's Game." I go into great detail on how the Battle School might work, how artificial gravity is created, how the Ansible and the FTL drives work. Not "canon," as Mssrs. Black and Card remind us, but I hope you'll enjoy it.
I've also included a lot of illustrations on my concepts--not as pretty as the Battle School in the Marvel Comics adaptation (though baswed on my designs)--but I like to think more "realistic"!
But even so, my favorite part of the book is the detailed discussion of how the story is slowly (and hopefully) wending its way towards being made into a motion picture.
There are also some excellent timelines behind the stories, and detailed descriptions of the people places and things from all the works up to the time of publication.
If you love the Ender Universe, this book is a must have!
