At the age of 16, Huxley was stricken with an eye disease which left him in a state of near-blindness for many years thereafter. In 1939, in a state of exasperation, he began to practise the method of visual re-education evolved by Dr W.H. Bates. Within two months he was reading without spectacles and without eyestrain. An enthusiastic convert, Huxley wrote this book, a homage to the Bates method and a serious challenge to the orthodox medical profession.

I knew Aldous Huxley was a famous author. Never read any of his books... till this one. True genius. This is a handbook for learning how and why we can restore our normal, natural vision, no matter who we are or why our vision is defective at all. If we want to, that is.
The author was blind for 25 years before he discovered that he could change that. And he did. Tiny book with stunning message.
The most potent ideas and practices are elegantly simple and natural. And they always make so much sense that when we are introduced to them, we wonder why we ever believed anything else.
My so-called astigmatism, macular degeneration and glaucoma are already improving. :-)
