Over 30 drawings wait for you to apply your colors. These drawings are outlines done from the original work by E. Boyd Smith, published in 1905. His book is a fanciful adaptation of the Bible's account of the great flood, the great Ark and the great menagerie on board. Our book is a careful adaptation of his great work.In this book, you will find more than 30 of his drawings, done to illustrate his version of the account of Noah and the Ark. Frolicking monkeys, wrestling tigers, dancing humans - he drew with delightful pastel colors. We have transformed his work into outline form so you can add your own colors. This book is part of a set of three versions. Each version contains his original text, our text and the Bible text, and our outlines of his art. We publish each title in three formats: Kindle (eBook) where we present his art in full color. Print, with text and outlines, but no color; a basic coloring book. Deluxe, a print edition with full text, his color originals and our outlines.A budget option would be to buy both the electronic version, so you can see and enjoy the colors, and the basic print edition, so you can see and enjoy the coloring. One is your guide, the other is your project.Elmer Smith was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and studied art in Paris, France. He studied at the Acad???mie Julian from 1881 to 1884, and later did extended study with another artist in Paris. In the early 1900s he moved to Wilton, Connecticut. He spent the remainder of his life in Wilton. Smith illustrated more than seventy books for both adults and children. His first was My Village in 1896, written while he was living in France. His first children's book was The Story of Noah's Ark in 1905. That book, now in the public domain, was the starting point for this book!We took his color drawings and converted them to line art. This new artist is named Gothami Weerasinghe. Her outlines are suitable for coloring! She is from, and lives in, Sri Lanka. She also drew the outlines for our first butterfly book (available mid-2020) and our "Birds of Sri Lanka" book (available early 2021).Order the book, sharpen your coloring pencils and get ready to be delighted.
