Was unwrapped from publisher s shrinkwrap and jacket wrapped in mylar. 446 p. Audience: General/trade. A clear and detailed history of the progression of the daguerreotype in America showing a wide spectrum of illustrations
This is an excellent book on American Daguerreotypes. Even though the first edition was printed in 1981, the wealth of info and the phots of dags in this book is exceptional. I believe this is really one of the life time achievements of the Rinharts. I use this book for reference including the types of plates and the types of mat design. This is good book for dating some of the dags. I think this book is in most dag collectors libraries.
