One could certainly take exception to the title of this CD. Where are the Beatles? Where are the girl groups? Where is Motown? Where is soul? So maybe it isn't the ultimate collection, but it is pretty nice. Most of the focus is on lightweight hits like Tommy Roe's "Sheila" and Len Barry's "1,2,3." The Mamas & the Papas have two tracks, "Monday Monday" and the always great "California Dreamin'," and the Box Tops show a little grit with "The Letter." Any record that contains Brenton Wood's "Gimme Little Sign" can't be all ...
