It's the official War Dept manual, so you expect no stone to remain uncovered, and there's not a one. From the specification to how to wheel batteries into place, it is all here. The reproduction is good. Anyone with a burning thirst for Civil War information, or who really, really wants to know about war-time artillery, has to have this on their shelves. There's a pre-war version that makes interesting comparison reading.
