The surreal imagination is a wonderful playground for children and those who remain child-like. It is the author's fervent wish to be paid in the currency of shy smiles and even the occasional guffaw. An amused snort will do in a pinch.This book may be read to younger children who have their wits about them, or, more properly, read by children themselves between the ages of 7 and 12. Of course, if you haven't lost your taste for surreal humour, the poems may equally be enjoyed by adults.Similar in style to Spike Milligan's poetry for children, a debt of gratitude must be paid to him for the hours of enjoyment he provided in the author's youth.
