My overall strategy will be an argument by process of elimination to the effect that once the most promising theories and arguments in favor of free will are eliminated, the rational conclusion to reach is that we do not have free will. The book has six chapters, two devoted to general argumentation and overview, and four devoted to incisive analysis. My first task is to examine arguments against compatibilism, which then motivates my examination of the incompatibilist libertarian theories.
