what can I say? Jodi Thomas knows how to write a good love story. I like the way Ms Thomas includes real life happenings in her stories. In this one she touches on abandoned Indian children who she returns to their tribe and she also touches on the sufferings of captured soldiers between the north and south war within the states. She shows the prejudice by the opposite side of one who trades sides to survive. Its a good story besides that. It also tells of the heroines bad marriage with an officer who didn't appreciate her. Luckily the heroine and hero connect and as it goes, have a happy ending.
