At 313 pages, De Bono puts allot of thought and effort into his methodology of teaching children successful thinking strategies, and to develop a healthy and positive approach to problem solving.
Basically he wants to promote a stress free way to assist children to think, and not let critical thoughts dominate and destroy creative approaches to solutions.
Some of his strategies are parallel thinking, the 6 hats, and lateral thinking.
This book is a useful tool in developing a positive approach to creative problem solving. There may be other books that have different ways to achieve the same means, but I have as yet to discover them. I whole heartedly recommend this book.
