I keep this little reference book in my pocket when I'm seeing patients. If the patient has a reaction to a medication or needs a less expensive alternative, I can quickly find it in this little book. It also is a good reference for finding medications that are safe in pregnancy or are compatable with liver or kidney disease. The chart for pediatric drugs based on weight - both pounds and kilograms - is Very helpful. I don't need to waste time doing the calculations. You can find formulas for osmolality, creatinine clearance, anion gap, etc. There are even sections on herbals which includes interactions and effectiveness, and antidotes for toxic substances/drugs. This is a Great Little Book!!!
